Hello Reader,
It's been a while since my last post. Lots of reasons why, the main one being I just needed to take a break while I focused on offline life. You know... family, health... all the usual suspects.. General blogging and social media advice appear to suggest you are not doing it right if you don't post every day. I have to disagree simply because it doesn't fit me.
Then the other day I saw a tweet that lead me to this post which made me feel good about my attitiude.
Why Posting Every Day is A Silly Strategy (And What to Do Instead)
I may not blog, tweet or update my status every day but you can be sure I am doing something creative everyday. That's what I do instead. I've got more than one project in progress and I continue to work on new projects which include doing more drawing.
I sketched out a couple of drawings last week one of which I posted on my Facebook page.
Besides Twitter this is probably one of the best places to keep up with my activities outside of the blog. I share photos of my work and other useful articles from other blogs, pages and so on. Last weekend I sat down and got to work on the sketch, choosing to use a style I once did with pen and ink. It's much cleaner with the drawing pens so I don't miss those tools at all. Youngsters among you are looking confused... pen and ink?
Never mind... I'm showing my age...
