St. Valentine's Day is a day for sharing quality time with someone you love. Does it have to be 'the other half'? Not necessarily. I have had a lovely day with my grandson doing ordinary things but spending time together.
This morning we made this card together. He punched out the hearts with the X-Cut hearts paper punch and helped to decorate the inside of the card with them. I think I was more pleased with the way the inside turned out. The front of a card was an idea which I decided required no words. Hearts galore would be a good name for it.
The punch turned out to a be a popular tool. My grandson was fascinated with the little chamber that collected the punched card and soon learnt how to empty them out carefully on a piece of card for use in our design. He was so proud of it. He is looking forward to making another card with me. I think I know just the occasion.
